12 DAY TOUR OF ITALY

DAY 1 – ROME: We meet at the airport and transfer to our hotel.

DAY 2 – ROME / ASSISI / SIENA / FLORENCE: Departure from the hotel by deluxe motor coach to Assisi. We stop in this splendid and mystic town for a panoramic visit of its Basilica and the church of St. Maria Degli Angeli. Departure from Assisi on the “Autostrada del Solo” to Siena. This gothic city is constructed on three hills in the heart of Tuscany. This monumental and medieval city is encircled by its ancient walls and is famous for its splendid square "Piazza del Campo," designed in the shape of a shell. Here, every year the famous "Palio" takes place. See also the elegant Palace and the Cathedral. In the afternoon we proceed to Florence. We check into the hotel. Dinner

DAY 3 – FLORENCE (PISA): Breakfast at the Hotel and morning city tour of Florence known for its' artistic beauty
with its Dome by Brunelleschi, the Bell tower by Giotto and the Baptistery. The sightseeing tour continues through Piazza Della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio and finally the church of Santa Croce. In the afternoon you might want to take an optional excursion to Pisa. This quiet and graceful town shows signs of its past and its greatness through the famous Piazza del Campo, better known as the "Square of Miracles" where we find the Cathedral, the Leaning Tower and the Baptistery. We check into the hotel. Dinner

DAY 4 – FLORENCE / PADUA / VENICE: Breakfast at Hotel and morning at leisure. You might visit
one of Florence’s museums. In the afternoon we depart to Padua for and tour the Basilica
of St. Anthony. We continue to Venice, the city of gondolas and check into the hotel. Dinner

DAY 5 – VENICE: After breakfast at the hotel we tour this mysterious city built, on 177 islands with 150 canals and
400 bridges. Our tour includes the panoramic of St. Mark's Square and the Doge's Palace
During the morning the group will stop in one of the famous shops of Murano glasses. Afternoon at leisure.
We return to the hotel. Dinner

DAY 6 – VENICE / SAN MARINO / ROME: After breakfast at the Hotel we depart by private motor coach to San Marino. This is one of the smallest states in the world and still has its own currency, stamps and preserves its political system which is over nine centuries old.  In the afternoon we arrive in Rome, the Eternal city. We check into the hotel.

DAY 7 – ROME: After breakfast at the hotel we depart and tour this city known for its artistic beauty. We see the Fontana Di Trevi,  Pantheon, Castel Sant'Angelo and Saint Peter's square with its basilica.
Afternoon at leisure. During your stay in Rome you might want to take an optional tour of the Sistine Chapel,
Vatican Museums, and Catacombs  Return to the hotel.

DAY 8 – ROME / NAPLES / POMPEII / SORRENTO: After breakfast at the hotel we leave Rome. The coach
will take the "Sun Route" motorway, driving through the regions of Lazio and Campania, with a view of the
Abbey of Montecassino. Upon arrival in Naples there will be a panoramic city tour of Mergellina, Castel
dell'Ovo, Plebiscito Square, the Royal Palace, the Maschio Angioino and the port.After lunch we drive to Pompeii and tour the excavations of the famous Roman city which was destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D. We leave Pompeii and driv along the Sorrentine coastal road. We arrive in Sorrento and check into our hotel. Dinner

DAY 9 – SORRENTO: Free day in Sorrento to explore this fascinating city. Breakfast and dinner at the hotel.

DAY 10 – SORRENTO / CAPRI: After breakfast we board the boat for the Island of Capri, where weather and
sea conditions permitting we will visit the Blue Grotto. After lunch the rest of the afternoon is free to enjoy this fabulous
island that was the summer residence of the Roman Emporers. In the afternoon transfer to hotel. Dinner

DAY 11 – CAPRI / ROME: After breakfast you are free to explore the many sites of the island. In the afternoon we
proceed to Rome and check into our hotel.

DAY 12 – ROME: After breakfast at the hotel we transfer to airport for our flight home.
