14 DAY TOUR OF NORTHERN ITALY AND THE GREEK ISLANDS

DAY 1 - ATHENS: Arrival in Athens. Our representative welcomes you to Greece
and transfers you to your hotel for a 3 night stay.

DAY 2 - ATHENS: After breakfast, you will be picked up to take the half-day Athens City Tour,
to the Acropolis and museums. This tour will introduce you to the most important
sights of the city. You will see the temple of the Olympian Zeus, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and
the Pan Athenaeum stadium. In the Evening: Optional pick-up to take the Athens by Night Tour
including a traditional dinner with wine in a typical Greek tavern in the historic district of the Plaka with live
music and folkloric dances. Return to the hotel.

MAY 3 – ATHENS: Morning departure from Athens to take the full day tour of Delphi, drive through the
towns of Thebes, Levadia and Arachova, famous for its brightly colored carpets. Arrive in Delphi, the ancient
sanctuary of Apollo. Visit the museum, where among other archaeological treasures, one can see the famed
bronze statue of the "Charioteer." Walk the sacred way to the Athenian Treasury; visit Apollo’s Temple and the
Kastalian Fountain. Return to Athens. 

DAY 4 ATHENS / PIRAEUS /MYKONOS: After breakfast, transfer to the port of Pireaus to start your 4 Day Golden Classic Cruise. Arrive in Mykonos, known for its hundreds of chapels that dot the island. Visit the many chic boutiques or find a table at the waterfront and enjoy the serenity. Return to the ship. B, L, D

DAY 5 – KUSADASI / PATMOS: Arrive Kusadasi, Turkey where you can take an excursion to the ancient city of
Ephesus. Then on to Patmos and take an optional excursion to the Monastery and Cave where John the
Divine wrote the Book of Revelation. Return to the ship (B,L,D)

DAY 6 – RHODES: Arrive early morning in Rhodes where you will spend a full day. Take an optional excursion
of the City of Rhodes and the rocky Acropolis of Lindos to visit the Temple of Athena. Return to the ship (B,L,D)

DAY 7 – HERAKLION / SANTORINI: Arrive in Heraklion, the capital of Crete. Take an optional excursion to
the city of Heraklion, the Museum and the Palace of King Minos at Knossos. Sail on to Santorini. Take an
optional excursion to the excavation site at Akrotiri where recent Minoan excavations support the theories
that Santorini might be the fabled continent of Atlantis. Return to the hotel (B,L,D)

DAY 8 – PIRAEUS / ATHENS: Upon disembarkation, you will be met and transferred to the airport to fly to
Rome. You will be met and transferred to your hotel.

DAY 9 – ROME: After breakfast at the hotel you will visit the Moses’ Fountain, the Naiadi’s Fountain,
the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon,  Piazza Navona, Castle Sant’Angelo, St. Peter’s Basilica
and the Vatican City. Afternoon at leisure. Return to the hotel.

DAY 10 – ROME / NAPLES / POMPEII / AMALFI: After breakfast at the hotel. We depart  by deluxe
motor coach for Naples, for a panoramic visit. Continue to Pompeii, lunch and visit of the excavations of this
Roman town destroyed by the eruption of Mt Vesuvius in 79 A.D.. After lunch, continue to Amalfi. We check into the hotel. Dinner

DAY 11 – AMALFI: After breakfast you have a free day to discover the beauty of this wonderful coastal town or take a swim in Homer's wine dark sea. The waters are crystal clear.  Return to the hotel. Dinner    
                                                                                   
DAY 12 – AMALFI / CAPRI: After breakfast the morning is yours to enjoy.. At 11:30 A.M. we transfer to
Sorrento, where we will embark for Capri. We transfer to hotel.

DAY 13 – CAPRI: After breakfast at hotel, You are free time to discover the beauty of this wonderful island. A trip to the famed Blue Grotto is a must. Return to the hotel.

DAY 14 – CAPRI / ROME: After breakfast at hotel. The morning is yours to enjoy. Early afternoon departure to Rome. where we check into our hotel.
