DAY 1 CAIRO

Arrive
this afternoon in Cairo. After you clear customs and collect your
luggage, a
R. S. HORUS Tours USA’s representative in Egypt
will meet you
and assist with the transfer to your hotel. Don't forget you will wake up next day 07.15, Breakfast 07.45. you will start your tour 09.00.

After breakfast, 09.00 Your Program Director will go over the details of the trip and answer any questions you may have. You’ll also attend a Discovery Series discussion on “Ancient Egypt,” as a prelude to the discoveries ahead
This morning we explore the ancient treasures of Egypt at the Egyptian Museum. Look at the golden riches from the tomb of King Tutankamen. Enter the Mummy Room where the New Kingdom Pharoahs lie. gaze at the wondrous sculpture of the Old Kingdom.
After lunch,We tour the Sphinx, the Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure and the temples that make up the complex. OPTIONAL We will enter the Great Pyramid of Khufu and ascend the Grand Gallery to the King’s Chamber. OPTIONAL We will visit the Museum of the Solar Boat. For the daring a camel ride is available. Our visit ends with a breath taking desert view of the pyramids. Return to the hotel. The evening is free.

After breakfast, Drive to Alexandria. and we tour the Catacombs, Alabaster Mosque, Pillar Of Pompei, and the Grecco Roman Museum and the new Library which is a reconstruction of the ancient Library of Alexandria destroyed in cc 50 BC.
We return to Cairo and transfer to the airport for our flight to Luxor.

We drive to
and tour Saint Catherine’s Monastery. Built at the
foot of Mt. Sinai, the monastery was constructed by Emperor
Justinian between 527 AD and 565 AD. It contains priceless works of
art and the second largest collection of illustrated manuscripts in
the world. Arrangements can be made to visit the private library to
view these priceless manuscripts. Because of its remote location,
Saint Catherine's is referred to as the undiscovered jewel of

DAY 6 JUNE 21 08 : Taba – Eilat – Dead Sea - Jerusalem
| Start the day by driving to Taba border, cross into the border of the Holy Land, where you will be met by your guide, who will assist with the formalities, then take you for a city tour of Eilat, then proceed with you through the Negev Desert till you arrive the Dead Sea, lowest spot on earth, enjoy a float in the salty water, then on proceed Via Qumran caves where the dead sea scrolls where found, till you reach Jerusalem, check in at your hotel for dinner and overnight. The evening is free. B.B |
DAY 7 JUNE 22 08: Mt. Of Olives, Mt. Zion, Bethlehem
| Start the day by ascending Mt. Of Olives, to have a panoramic view over Jerusalem, then on proceed to visit the Ascension church, where Jesus ascended to heavens, then on proceed to visit the Pater Noster Church, where the prayer of our father is written in all the languages, then on proceed to visit the Dominos Flevit church, where Jesus Christ wept over Jerusalem, then on proceed to visit the Garden of Gethsemane, visit the Garden where Jesus was caught by the Roman soldiers, and visit the Church of All Nations, which earned its name because 16 nations has contributed in building it. Then via Kidron Valley, proceed to visit the Mt. Zion, where you will visit the Upper room, where Jesus has his last supper together with the disciples, then visit the King David’s Tomb, and the Dormition Abbey, where our Lady has fell ill and died, then on proceed to visit the St.Peter in Galicuntu, the site of denial of Jesus by Peter for 3 times, then on proceed to visit Bethlehem, visit the Church of the Nativity, where Jesus was born, and visit the Grotto, then back to the hotel for dinner and overnight. DAY 8 JUNE 23 08: Old
City of Jerusalem
| Start the day to visit Old city of Jerusalem, enter the city and visit the Area of the Mosques and the Wailing wall, then on proceed via St. Stephens gate to the Via dolorosa, the way of the Cross, with it’s fourteen stations that will end at the church of the Holy Sepulcher, visit the tomb of Jesus Christ where he was buried and resurrected after 3 days. Back to the hotel for dinner overnight B.B |
DAY 9 JUNE 24 08 Ein
Kerem – Jaffa – Tel Aviv
| Start the day to visit the Ein Kerem, the lovely neighborhood near Jerusalem, visit the church of the visitation and the St. John the Baptist Church, visit then on to visit Jaffa on the Mediterranean sea, the Port and the city, then on proceed to make a city tour of Tel Aviv City, then back to the hotel for dinner and overnight. DAY 9 JUNE 25 08 :
Jericho – Eilat – Taba – Sharm Sheick Bridge
| Breakfast at the hotel, then on proceed to visit Jericho – the Green Oasis, the Palestinian city that dates back to 10000 years of history, visit the Sycamore Tree then on proceed to view the Mt. of Temptation where Jesus Christ has been tempted by Satan for 40 days then on proceed to Sheick Bridge on the border of Israel and Jordan. We are met by our guides and drive to Amman, Jordan. and check into the Crown Plaza Hotel. B&B |

DAY 11 JUNE 27 08
| Today we explore Petra. It was established sometime around the 6th Century BC and was a commercial empire that was inhabited until the 13th Century AD. Today it is the major tourist attraction in Jordan and it was the location of the lost city in the Indiana Jones movie, “The last Crusade”. Return to the hotel. B.D |
DAY 12 JUNE 28 08
| Today we drive to and tour Wadi Rum. Many consider this the most beautiful desert on earth. This is the site of the movie Lawrence of Arabia. Later we drive to the Dead Sea and check into the luxury resort. Enjoy the day. B&B |
DAY 13 DEAD SEA - AMANN,
JORDAN
| Free morning at the Dead Sea. This afternoon we drive to Amann, Jordan. On the way we visit the Crusader’s Castle at Kerak. It is a marvel of 13 th century European Architecture. Next we tour the Mosaic Museum in Madaba. Here are found the most magnificent example of mosaic art style. Next we tour Mount Nebo where Moses was shown the promised land and died.. On a clear day you can see the rooftops of Jerusalem and Bethlehem. Check into the five stars Crown Plaza Hotel. B.B |
DAY 14 AMANNI - JERASH-
CAIRO
| Today we tour the city of Jerash, the best representation of the grandeur of imperial Rome, still in existence. The city was occupied from the Neolithic age until the abandonment of the city, at the end of the roman empire. It features many of the best preserved and largest number of roman buildings from the ancient world. To this day, its paved and colonnaded streets, soaring temples, theaters, spacious public squares and plazas, and gates remain in exceptional condition. Return to the hotel. B&B |
DAY 15 CAIRO - HOME
